FRANCE, Gauguin, 1952, a bronze medal by J.C. de Lapeyrière, effigy of the painter in front of a Breton Christ-like figure on a cross, rev. a Tahitian woman lounging to right, bird at right, foliage behind, edge impressed bronze and cornucopia, 59mm, 111.94g (CGMP p.1156; cf. iNumis MBS 44, 1458).
