We are pleased to accept advance bids from registered clients by several methods.

1. Using our Website

Once a catalogue has been published, you can place bids using our website.

We strongly advise this method if you wish to leave advance bids. It is the easiest, most accurate and flexible way to leave your bids and gives you total control of them right up to the moment the lot is offered for sale.

Advance bids made online cannot be seen by others and do not go live until the moment the lot in question is being offered for sale.

You can use ‘Your Cabinet’ to view, edit or cancel any bids prior to this point. You may also want to enable the ‘Plus 1’ option which will increase your bid to the next increment, should the bidding be against you when your Advance Autobid reaches your maximum.

2. By Email

You can submit your bids by email to bids@noonans.co.uk.

Please clearly state your name, client code (if known), address and telephone number, date of the sale and lot number and corresponding bids.

3. By Telephone

Advance bids can be left by calling our main switchboard (+44 (0)20 7016 1700) before 4 PM on the working day prior to the auction.

You can post your bids to Noonans, 16 Bolton Street, Mayfair, London, W1J 8BQ.

Please use the commission form included in the online or printed catalogue or send a letter clearly stating your name, client code ( if known), address and telephone number, date of the sale and the lot numbers and corresponding bids.

Pre-Sale Estmates

The pre-sale estimates are intended as a guide to prospective purchasers.

Any bid between the listed figures would, in our opinion, offer a fair chance of success. However all lots, depending on the degree of competition, can realise prices above or below the listed estimates.

Buyers Premium

A BUYERS PREMIUM OF 24% OF THE HAMMER PRICE (PLUS VAT IF LOTS ARE COLLECTED OR DELIVERED WITHIN THE UK) IS PAYABLE BY THE BUYER ON ALL LOTS.

Importation VAT

Lots marked ‘x’ are subject to importation VAT of 5% on the Hammer Price unless re-exported outside the UK.

Artists' Resale Rights (Driote de Suite)

Droit de Suite is a royalty payable to a qualifying artist or their estate every time the artist’s work is sold at auction or by an art market professional during the artist’s lifetime and for a period of up to 70 years following the artist’s death.

Royalties are calculated on a sliding percentage scale based on the hammer price.

Lots subject to this royalty payment are marked with ARR in the catalogue.

All payments must be made in pounds sterling within five days of the end of a sale unless credit terms have been made by prior arrangement.

The best way to make payment is by Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards or American Express via our website www.noonans.co.uk. Carriage and insurance is pre-calculated for you so that you may pay immediately.
