Banco Nacional Ultramarino, St Thomas & Prince, obverse and reverse archival photographs showing designs for 2500 Reis, 19- (1905), serial number 000000, this design is very similar to the notes issued in Portuguese India in 1909, but denominated in Reis rather than Rupias, laid down on card with ink annotations detailing the colour of the note, and the date ‘7.9.05’, in PMG holder, unique and a very important record of a series that never made it past the design stage for this country...
