ERROR: Bank of England, John B. Page, £1, 9 February 1978, serial number 35J 488913, with entire top print missing from the obverse, minor handling only, thus about uncirculated to uncirculated and an extremely rare error. The only known examples all have the same six digit serial number with different prefixes so it seems likely there was only a single sheet of 40 with this error for this issue.
