Francis Derwent Wood, RA (1871-1926) was an accomplished sculptor whose career flourished in the late Victorian and Edwardian period. Post World War I, one of his better-known but more controversial sculptures is the Machine Gun Corps Memorial at London’s Hyde Park corner
