I: Briot, Warin and Rawlins, England, Charles I, Briot’s Second Machine-made issue, Sixpence, mm. anchor (flukes to right), bust within inner circle, carolvs d g mag brit fr et hib rex, rev. christo avspice regno, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 3.00g/46.5gr/6h (SCBI Brooker 732, same dies; N 2306; S 2860). Weak on King’s shoulder (and corresponding on reverse), otherwise good very fine, toned £300-£400
