and
An Important Private Collection of British Designer Jewellery
Exhibition at Noonans Mayfair: 7 October — 12 October 2024
Noonans are proud to present our Autumn Exhibition showcasing two significant private Collections, the first focusing on jewellery and silver by the architect and goldsmith LOUIS OSMAN, the second on post-war British Designer Jewels, from the 1960s - 1980s.
Louis Osman: The Jenkins Family Collection comprises 13 hand crafted pieces by the designer best known for his creation of the Royal crown for Prince Charles’ investiture at Caernarvon Castle in 1969. A highly personal collection, all commissioned from Osman by Maurice and Dorothy Jenkins during the 1970s and 1980s, brings together exceptional suites of jewellery, gold and silverwares. The Jenkins Family Collection will be offered for sale at Noonans Mayfair on Tuesday 26 November.
The Loan Collection of Important British Designer Jewellery highlights famous craftsmen from the post-war period, and includes examples by Stuart Devlin, John Donald, Gerda Flöckinger, Michael Gosschalk, Andrew Grima, Gilian Packard, etc, but also introduces lesser-known great craftsmen and women, such as Beck & Blyth, Ingeborg Bratman, Barbara Cartlidge, Peter Lyon and Naum Slutzky.
