PREVIEW: WORLD BANKNOTES: 25 FEBRUARY

This 2025 commemorative 10,000 Francs banknote of the Banque de la République du Burundi is notable for several reasons.

One of only 1,000 printed, and numbered BRB AF 0000731, the stunning engraving depicts several animals to celebrate the biodiversity of Africa.

 

A superb gem and uncirculated, it is also considered to be the largest legal tender note in the world. It appears in this sale with an estimate of £1,500-2,000.
