A BROAD RANGE OF LUXURY HIGHLIGHTS COME FULL OF PROMISE

Craftsmanship and luxury come together in a series of highlights for Noonans’ Autumn Jewellery, Silver and Objects of Vertu auction on 16 September, aptly demonstrating the continued allure of quality jewellery and objects.

Fine diamonds feature strongly in this auction, led by a diamond single stone pendant, the brilliant-cut diamond weighing 3.01 carats
, with a diamond report from E.G.L International stating that the diamond is H colour, VS2 clarity. The estimate is £15,000-20,000.

A pretty heart-shaped diamond ring, the diamond again weighing 3.01 carats, the gallery and shoulders set with brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling a further 1.20 carats, accompanied by a GIA certificate confirming D colour and SI1 clarity and carrying an estimate £14,000-16,000.

A Fancy coloured diamond pendant, the cushion-shaped diamond of yellow tint, weighing 2.01 carats
, and grading as a Fancy Vivid Yellow, is expected to sell for £8,000-12,000.

A further ring sure to catch attention is a diamond single stone ring by Boodles, the brilliant-cut diamond weighing 2.52 carats
, claw-set between bifurcated shoulders, the claws and shoulders set with similarly cut diamonds, and mounted in platinum. This elegant ring should sell for £7,000-9,000.

Coloured gemstones offered in this sale include a large sapphire and diamond necklace by Wempe. The necklace is centred with a mixed-cut Sri Lankan sapphire, weighing 21.80 carats, mounted in a pavé-set diamond surround leading to a curb-link neck chain with graduated brilliant-cut diamond highlights. The total diamond weight is approximately
9.50 carats, and the necklace is 40.5cm long. It carries hopes of £12,000-15,000.

A stunning late 19th century emerald pendant is set to shine at the auction, the oval flowerhead centred with a cushion-shaped diamond within a petal surround of ten pear-shaped emeralds, within a diamond scalloped border. The emeralds are all testing as Colombian origin, with minor or moderate enhancement, this striking pendant carrying an estimate of £4,000-6,000.

The Objects of Vertu section includes a stylish 18ct gold woven evening clutch bag, with repeating chevron motif and ruby and diamond flowerhead clasp. Reputedly purchased by the vendor’s grandfather from Vacheron Constantin in the 1960s, this chic evening bag is 17cm long and is expected to fetch £8,000-12,000.
