Forster & Corbet were cloth manufacturers from 1805 until 1821 when the company was dissolved. Hutchesontown is on the south bank of the Clyde, across the river from Glasgow city centre and forms part of the wider Gorbals district.

Scotland, GLASGOW (Lanarkshire), Forster & Corbet, Hutchesontown, a MEXICO, Charles IIII, 8 Reales, 1804th, Mexico City, obv. countermarked forster & corbet hutchesontown around 5/ within several rings, 26.46g/11h (Manville 37 and p.81; Hodge 037aS/002b, this coin ; KM. CC64). Coin about fine, countermark a little better but weak on one side £1,000-£1,200
