Continental Iron Age, GAUL, Uncertain tribe, possibly of Normandy, gold Hemistater, c. 3rd Century BC, laureate head of Apollo right, large hair in waves, small face, rev. horse right, led by charioteer above holding sword, reigns before horse, uncertain object below, pellet and curved lines in exergue, 3.95g/10h (DT – [similar to 2053]; LT – [similar to 6931]). Similar to the cauldron type, good fine with a test cut at 3 o’clock £100-£150
