British Iron Age, DUROTRIGES, Uninscribed issues, silver Stater, Turf Cutter/Cranborne Chase type, devolved head of Apollo comprising wreath, cloak and crescents, rev. disjointed horse left, rectangular head, neck lying almost vertical, body of crescents, pellets above, four vertical legs, three lines for tail with pellets between, large pellet below with pellet triad either side, 3.66g/7h (ABC 2154-57 var.; BMC –; VA –; S –). Flat above horse, otherwise good fine £90-£120
