Sub Assistant Surgeon Basant Singh, I.M.D. was born on 4 December 1887 and joined the I.M.D. in May 1910. He entered the African theatre of war on 25 August 1914. He later served with the Uganda Medical Service. Awarded the M.S.M. for service in Mesopotamia. Discharged on 19 January 1919.
