Kings of Northumbria, Æthelred II (First reign, 840-4), Styca, Leofthegn, voided Maltese cross, pellet in centre, 1.29g/12h (cf. N 188; S 866A). Very fine, dark tone, scarce £80-£100

Later Anglo-Saxon, Eadgar, Penny, Two Line type [HR 2, North Western], Othelriht, eadgar rex around small cross pattée, rev. odel riht divided by two large annulets and a cross pattée, rosette of pellets above and below, 1.27g/12h (CTCE 148; BMC p.164; N 745; S 1131). Very fine but chipped, rare £200-£300
