German Second World War Flak Insignia. A a single Luftwaffe flak faded red Leutnant’s collar patch; an other ranks Flak Qualification sleeve badge; and a scarce Luftwaffe woman’s flak helpers arm shield, good condition (3) £40-£50

Sold together with a standard form Luftwaffe blue soldbuch that has had its spine strengthened contemporarily with a photograph of the recipient Flak Kanonier Gerhardt Lowe. All pages with good and interesting annotations, which shows service with several flak units including his assignment to Hamburg during the allied fire storm bombing of the city. Accompanied by an original A5 sized bestowal document for the War Service Cross Second Class with swords to Oberfeldwebel Kurt Gross of a flak unit in Luneburg dated ‘Hamburg 1 September 1942’ with a facsimile signature of the Commanding ‘General of Luft Gau 11’ with what appears to be an original photocopy of Kurt Gross’s bestowal document for the War Service Cross First Class with swords dated 30 January 1944; and two German stamps depicting flak operations.
