The German Second World War Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Officer’s Dagger attributed to Night-Fighter Ace Feldwebel Rudolf Frank. Excellent blade by WKC, Solingen. The blade has been personally marked beneath the Luftwaffe eagle cross-guard ‘R.F.’ on one side, and ‘NJG III’ on the other. The coloration of all the fittings, which include the upper pommel, cross guard and scabbard all match. Part of the grip wire to the orange grip missing, complete with its correct short pattern portapee knot and a set of deluxe floriated dagger straps, to which the velvet on the backing has shredded, very good condition £300-£400
