A German Second World War Army Officer’s Dagger. Excellent blade by F. W. Holler, Solingen. All cross grain finish remaining. Deep orange grip. The coloration of the cross guard, upper pommel, lower ring and scabbard all match. Complete with a set of hangers of which the sprung loaded clips all function correctly. The brocade has shredded and slightly oxidised but still strong. Tied to the dagger is a shredded army dagger knot, good condition £180-£220

Wear of the Army Dagger was forbidden by Hitler after the bomb plot to assassinate him on 5 September 1944.
