Hand-in-Hand Bank, proof/pull 2 Shillings & 6 Pence and 5 Shillings, 181-, no signatures or serial numbers, first on paper with no watermark, second on paper with ‘Island of Jersey’ watermark, these notes were produced as an emergency during the Napoleonic Wars in the absence of small change. They were issued only until part way through 1813 when laws were enacted prohibiting notes worth less than £1 Sterling. First fine, second good extremely fine (2 notes) McCammon JN93 £300-£400
