Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1671, second bust, plume below and in centre of rev., no stop before dei or after hib, harp with 5 strings (ESC 520 [1035]; S 3376). Light haymarking on French arms, otherwise extremely fine and virtually as struck, reverse with considerable mint bloom, very rare; the best specimen offered at auction for many years £3,000-£4,000
