Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), Penny, Sovereign/Eagles type, York, Ulfketill Thaginc, vlfketel daginga on eo, annulets in first and fourth quarters, 1.30g/11h (Freeman 417; Lessen, SNC 2007, p.310, this coin listed; CNG 60, 2318, e55, 194 and e65, 109, same dies; N 827; S 1181). Surfaces oxidised and a trifle weak in places, otherwise very fine £240-£300
