Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), Penny, Pointed Helmet type, Winchester, Æthelstan, æstan on pincest :, bust with arm and hand, lis sceptre, 1.27g/12h (Freeman 36; SCBI Lincolnshire 1754, same obv. die; cf. Winchester Mint 1647, but dies not represented; BMC 1404; N 825; S 1179). Very fine and toned £300-£400
