Cnut (1016-1035), Penny, Quatrefoil type, Cambridge, Leofsige, liofsig on gran, London ‘C late’ style, bust with aquiline nose, both quatrefoils almost round, 0.98g/12h (MEC 8, 1992 [= SCBI Fitzwilliam 758] and ’Welsh Marches’ 260, same dies; BEH 1054-5; N 781; S 1157). Very fine, bright £240-£300
