Robert Richardson Daly, Gentleman Cadet from the Royal Military College, was appointed Ensign in the 61st Foot on 27 December 1850. He was promoted to Lieutenant, by purchase, on 17 December 1852. He served in the Indian campaign of 1857, and was present at the siege, assault, and capture of Delhi, and action of Nujjufghur (Medal and Clasp). Lieutenant Daly died in India on 28 August 1859.
