With copied roll extracts where he is listed as ‘Invalided’; also listing medal returned on 18 October 1912 and re-issued on 2 May 1913, and with two copied pages from the defaulters record book, listing John Tierney, 8th Hussars being on trial at Volksrust, 17 June 1901. A note elsewhere states it was for ‘violence against a superior officer.’
