Charles I (1625-1649), Sixpence, 1643, mm. book on obv. only, obv. from an Aberystwyth die, late Tower bust, plume in front, rev. three Oxford plumes above Declaration, date below, 2.92g/10h (Morr. A-1; SCBI Brooker 952; N 2458; S 2980A). Extremely fine, struck on a large, slightly ragged flan, attractively toned with a reddish-gold hue on reverse (£800-1,000)
