Gomer Jenkins was born in Llantrisand, Glamorganshire, lived in Hopkinstown and enlisted at Birmingham. Serving in the 2nd Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 August 1914. He was killed in action on 25 October 1914. He was buried in the Pont-du-Hem Military Cemetery, La Gorgue, Nord, France. Clasp confirmed. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details, together with modern photographs of the grave.
