Gibraltar, Type II, c. 1764, Eleven Bitt Dollar (valued at Eight Shillings and Threepence, revalued to Ten Bitts in September 1798), MEXICO, Ferdinand VI, 8 Réales, 1756mm, Mexico City, centrally pierced from the rev. with a heart-shaped hole, 24.69g/381.0gr (Prid. Dominica 6; KM. Martinique 10). Pierced near top edge, otherwise about very fine, very rare £600-800

Provenance: Mrs Shillingford [from her grandfather, c. 1900]; donated to I. Newton, 1976, raising $85 to help fund painting of the Anglican Church in Rousau, Dominica; bt K.V. Eckardt, St Kitts, August 1984
