Returns Document of H.M’s Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards, commanded by His Royal Highness the Duke of York, 28 February 1795, document 47 x 58cm., showing the 1st Battalion and Light Infantry Company of the 2nd Battalion on foreign service, the remainder of the 2nd Battalion at Knightbridge Barracks, fold marks, torn and repaired; Certificate of Servants’ Rations, drawn by officers of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, February - March 1827 - a list of officers and their signatures; Parchment Discharge Certificate and Account Book to William Moore, 45th Foot, dated 1837; Letter requesting Prize Money, dated 22 February 1844, due to the late Sergeant William Ennis, 1st European Regiment, Madras Establishment, in respect of the Deccan War of 1817-18, fold marks and torn, fair and better condition (5) £40-60

William Moore was born in the Parish of Midgeley, near the town of Halifax, Yorkshire. He enlisted into the 45th Foot at Liverpool on 20 September 1837, aged 21 years. He was discharged on 5 December 1837 upon the payment of £20.
