James Capram Willis was born, lived and enlisted at Liverpool. Serving with the 1st/9th Battalion Liverpool Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 31 July 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

George Thompson was born in Everton and living at Bootle, enlisted at Seaforth, Lancashire. Serving in the 2nd/7th Battalion Liverpool Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 24 May 1917. He was buried in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, Nord, France.
