Ex Don Forsyth Collection; sold with letter from Forsyth concerning the medal, dated 5 December 1988. Also with a note from a later owner speculating that the recipient ‘escaped from Isandlwana’. This is not confirmed.

Sold with an old miniature photograph (of the recipient?), in frame, reverse with brooch fitting.
