John Gibbeson served as a Landsman aboard the Lion at the capture of Java, which ship he had joined in January 1810. He served a further 30 years in the Navy, becoming a Gunner in September 1826. He was finally discharged to pension at Greenwich Hospital in September 1842. Sold with copy record of service.
