France, Le Soldat Inconnu, 1920, a bronze maquette for the reverse of the medal by P.-M. Dammann, coffin of the unknown soldier carried by eight men towards the Arc de Triomphe, 150mm (cf. CGMP p.114-15). Extremely fine, attractive light patina, very rare (£50-70)

The medal itself was issued by the Monnaie in 1923
