Only 14 British South Africa Company Medals with the rank of Gunner awarded to Salisbury Horse, all to members of the Maxim Machine Gun team.

Egbert Adams Organ Webb was born in 1866 and served with Salisbury Horse in Matabeleland in 1893. He was created an Officer of the Order of St. John in 1934 (London Gazette 26 June 1934), and died on 28 February 1983.
