Robert Brindley served with the 1st Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps during both the Second Sikh War and the Great Sepoy Mutiny, and died of wounds at Delhi on 26 September 1857 (also entitled to an Indian Mutiny Medal with clasp for Delhi).
