Three: Bandsman S. Pace, Royal Navy

Egypt and Sudan 1882-89
, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Alexandria 11th July (Bandn., H.M.S. Temeraire); Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Bandsn., H.M.S. Trafalgar), impressed naming; Khedive’s Star 1882, contact marks and edge bruising, especially to the first, otherwise about very fine or better (3) £200-250

Salvo Pace was born on Malta in September 1860 and entered the Royal Navy as a Domestic 2nd Class in October 1878. He subsequently witnessed active service aboard H.M.S. Temeraire in the Egypt operations of 1882, including the bombardment of Alexandria, and was awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in April 1895. He was finally pensioned ashore in September 1904.
