Three late 19th/early 20th century shell cameo brooches, the first carved to depict Diana the Huntress, the second, depicting a Vestal Virgin, the third a classical female profile, with flowers to her hair, all mounted in gold, lengths 46-53mm. (3) £240-£300

The Vestal Virgin is identified by her suffibulum, the white woolen veil, which was worn during rituals and sacrifices.
