Artillery Volunteers Medal, by W. J. Taylor, London, obverse: gunner standing to attention by a cannon, tents in the background; reverse: engraved within a laurel wreath, ‘Edward Dowling, 1862’, 38mm., silver, fitted with a swivel straight bar suspension incorporating a shield coat-of-arms with the motto ‘Decus et Tutamen’ (An honour and a protection), with ribbon, extremely fine £70-90

This medal is of the 1st Kent Artillery Volunteers at Gravesend
