1734 William Walker (2) was born in the Parish of All Saints, Northampton, and attested for the 16th Lancers at Nottingham on 14 November 1839. Promoted to Corporal in November 1843, he was tried and reduced to Private the following year and transferred to the 3rd Light Dragoons on 1 April 1846. He was again promoted to Corporal in October 1857, and was discharged at Edinburgh on 26 January 1864. See Lot xxxx for the medals to the second William Walker serving with the regiment at this time.
