XIV: Seals by Simon, Second Great Seal of the Commonwealth, 1651, a cast copper Seal and Counterseal (obverse and reverse), map of England and Ireland, the great seale of england 1651, rev. in the third yeare of freedome by gods blessing restored 1651, view of the House of Commons in session, 140mm, 662.05g (Nathanson pp.20-1; Vertue pl. vii; Birch 599). Cast from a wax original, possibly in two pieces and joined together, very fine, patchy green patina £150-£200
