Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Fourth issue, Threefarthings, 1573, mm. ermine, bust 5B, reads e d g rosa sine spina, 0.31g/11h (BCW ER-2:ER-c; N 2002; S 2571). With the apparently contemporary removal of the rose and partial erasure of the date to pass in circulation as a Penny, good fine, dark tone, unusual and very rare £60-£80
