Duke of Wellington interest: A memorial propelling pencil, the finial modelled as the bust of the Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, (1769-1852), the slider inscribed ‘Born 1769. Died 1852’, and stamped ‘WATERLOO’, ‘WELLINGTON’ and ‘ASSAYE’, the shaft stamped with lozenge patent registration mark, being the registration code for 20th May 1852, pencil length (extended) 13cm. £200-£400
