Pair: Commissioned Boatman C. King, H.M. Coast Guard, late Royal Navy

Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Alexandria 11th July (C. King. A.B.: H.M.S. “Penelope.); Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Chas. King, Comd. Boatn, Coast Guard.) light pitting, otherwise good very fine (2) £180-£220

Charles King was born in Quebec, Canada in December 1857. He joined the Royal Navy as Boy 2nd Class in March 1873, and advanced to Able Seaman in March 1879. Service included with H.M.S. Penelope, April 1882 - May 1885, before transferring to H.M. Coast Guard in August 1885. He predominantly served as a Commissioned Boatman at Lymington, Hampshire before he was Pensioned in May 1898.
