Joseph Stanley Wilkinson was commissioned Temporary Second Lieutenant, Lincolnshire Regiment on 24 January 1915, and served with the 3rd Battalion at Gallipoli from 1 October 1915. He was promoted Lieutenant on 29 April 1917 with seniority from 19 December 1915.
