Cecil William Clode, of ‘6, The Mount, Caversham, Oxfordshire’, a coffee planter by trade, was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Army Service Corps on 24 January 1916, and served with them during the Great War in East Africa from 12 March 1917. He died on 17 November 1926.
