National Co-operative Bank, £5, 1875, serial number A/Z 00006, extremely similar in design to the Bank of England notes of the era, extensive terms and conditions on reverse, which are mentioned on the front of the note, signature of D. Griffin at low right, original paper, good fine, printed by Waterlow & Sons and an extremely rare example of a London issuer. One of only perhaps two or three examples known.
Outing 2855 for bank, the existence of a single known note is mentioned, but this note is certainly in addition to that example £500-£700
