William Sykes (1861-1941), from Cottingham, E. Yorkshire, estate and land agent, token collector from the mid-1890s; for his private tokens, which he designed himself, he was recommended to J.A. Restall by S.H. Hamer; 50 sets in bronzed-copper were struck. Sykes’ token collection remained in the hands of his descendants until being auctioned in 1986
