Portobello Medals with Vernon’s portrait and icons, Capture of Portobello, 1739, a pinchbeck medal, unsigned, Vernon standing left, cannon to left and ship to right, rev. six ships outside Portobello harbour, 38mm (Adams PBvi 4-D; Betts –; MI –). Lightly polished and some staining on obverse, otherwise very fine, scarce £100-£120
