Alfred William Woods enlisted at Edmonton, Middlesex. Serving originally with the Royal Fusiliers, he was killed in action whilst with the 1st Battalion East Surrey Regiment, France / Flanders, 20.5.1918, aged 33 years. His name is listed on the Ploegsteert Memorial. His medals were forwarded to Mrs F. H. Woods of Edmonton.
