Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol, unnamed as issued; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (2955 Pte. John Bridges 72nd Foot); Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue (No. 2955 Private. John. Bridges 72nd Highlanders.) contemporarily engraved, pierced for ring suspension as issued, generally very fine (3) £200-£300

John Bridges was born in Dundee, Scotland, and attested for the 72nd Highlanders at Edinburgh in February 1854. He was discharged, 22 February 1876, having served 21 years and 199 days with the Colours (L.S. & G.C. awarded in January 1873).
