Seven: Warrant Officer Class II A. F. McLeod, 22nd Field Regiment, South African Artillery

1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; Defence and War Medals 1939-45; Africa Service Medal, these all officially named ‘213680 A. F. McLeod’; Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue, Union of South Africa (W.O. 2. A. F. McLeod S.A.A.) stained from water damage, generally very fine (7) £50-£60

Alexander Frederick McLeod was born in June 1904, and enlisted in the 1st Infantry Battalion, South African Forces, August 1940. He advanced to Company Quarter Master Sergeant in November 1940, and transferred to the South African Transport Corps in March 1941. McLeod served as a Warrant Officer Class II with the 22nd Field Regiment, South African Artillery, from May 1943. He was discharged, 19 September 1945.
